Connectivity Simplified: Zebra supports IBM’s recommendations - and your preferences - for printer integration.

With Zebra, you can integrate bar code and RFID label printers to IBM System i platforms using IBM's preferred connectivity method, and take advantage of exclusive features that simplify printer integration and management. Zebra’s array of IBM connectivity options reduces integration time and costs because they support your preferred protocols and architecture.

Zebra printers can connect to the IBM System i environment through the IBMSNMPDRV Device Driver, IBM's recommended integration method, using the ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server, which supports fast printing and real-time monitoring. Zebra also supports connectivity through remote print queues.

The ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server supports all the printer management features normally associated with twinax and coax implementations, and it provides a gateway to Zebra’s advanced ZebraLink printer management solutions.

Zebra makes it easy to generate bar code and RFID label output from the IBM System i environment. Use ZebraDesigner Pro software to create label formats and embed them directly into IBM applications for fast, direct output on Zebra printers. "A Guide to Barcode Label Printing for IBM Midrange Servers" explains the easy FTP upload process for driving label printing through ZebraDesigner.
