The next generation of the Sapphire UWB product line, Zebra Dart Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) real time location system (RTLS) enables location accuracy for personnel and equipment tracking in indoor and outdoor environments. Built on Sapphire UWB RTLS core capabilities, Dart UWB provides the lowest cost-of-ownership in the industry by improving installation ease, visability, scalability, performance, asset tracking and tag management. By reading thousands of small, active RFID tags per second, this RFID tracking system allows for an expanded array of both indoor and outdoor asset management applications in the harshest industrial environments.

Dart Hub
Dart Hub The Dart Hub provides power, data and clock to the Dart Sensors over a single shielded Ethernet cable enabling simple and fast sensor installation. Embedded software on the hub allows for system configuration and display of real-time tag locations via a browser-based GUI interface based on a Java™ run-time environment.



Dart Sensors
Dart Sensors Dart Sensors are placed throughout the site originating from the hub and then typically daisy-chained from one sensor to the next. The Dart UWB portfolio offers three antenna types (High-gain, Mid-gain and Omni) in integrated Sensor form and in a bulk-head Sensor and external antenna arrangement. This antenna combination provides minimal infrastructure required to achieve the highest-level of UWB location accuracy.

Dart Vision Reader
Sapphire VISION Dart Vision Reader is built on the core capabilities of the Dart UWB Real-Time Location System (RTLS) product line providing reliable inventorying of critical assets and personnel in demanding industrial, manufacturing, supply chain and badging applications. The Dart Vision Reader can be deployed as a complement to the Dart RTLS solution or independently through an Ethernet connection to existing IT infrastructure. Combined with the UWB active DartTag’s ability to be detected in high multi-path, metallic environments, the Dart Vision Reader offers superior presence detection compared to other radio-frequency identification (RFID) technologies. Its fully weatherproof design (IP67 rated) and large operational temperature range (-40 oC to +55 oC) provides improved presence detection for asset management in the most difficult indoor and outdoor industrial environments.

DartTag UWB Active Tags are devices that communicate with the Dart Ultra-Wide Band Real Time Locating Systems. Each tag has a unique ID that can be associated with a specific asset. DartTag transmissions are extremely short in duration providing excellent real time location accuracy and permitting thousands of tags to be simultaneously detected. The short durations are also fundamental to offering exceptionally long battery life. The DartTag portfolio consists of two standard form factors, including:



DartTag
DartTag A general all purpose asset tag, the DartTag provides the best performance and longest battery life for larger, high-valued assets. Integrated into the design of the tag are features to allow easy mounting of straps or ties and an optional screw plate mounting bracket.




DartTag Badge
DartTag Badge A badge tag provides a low profile format and optimal performance for personnel. The DartTag Badge tag design allows for mounting via a badge clip.

DartWand
DartWand The DartWand Module enables end users to easily set-up, configure and manage thousands of DartTags. DartTags are small, battery powered Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless devices that periodically transmit their unique ID for use in asset management applications. DartTags are also capable of receiving Low-frequency (LF) wireless transmissions in order to configure its UWB wireless transmission. The DartWand Module transmits LF instructional messages to the DartTags and in turn can receive UWB validation from the DartTags for validation and inventorying purposes.

System Builder
System Builder is a powerful virtual planning tool designed to aid in the installation and optimization of the Dart UWB system. System Builder is used to define the site and sensor coordinate system, model the coverage of the Dart Sensors and support the set up of reference and virtual groups to optimize the performance of the installation.
